The coronavirus has exposed the need for stronger healthcare and infection control in Arizona. Join your neighbors and healthcare workers by safely gathering signatures for a ballot initiative to improve healthcare for all Arizonans.
Now, more than ever, we need to strengthen healthcare for everyone in Arizona.
YES! I’m ready to take the Arizona Healthcare Challenge to let voters decide on improving healthcare in our state.
Get Infections Under Control
Last year, 15 Arizona hospitals were fined for patient safety issues, including dangerous and deadly infections. Our initiative requires private hospitals to meet national health safety standards and imposes fines if hospitals fail or ignore these safety standards.
No one should be denied medical care or charged more because they have a pre-existing condition. Our initiative prevents insurance companies from discriminating against the 2.8 million Arizonans with pre-existing conditions, like asthma, cancer, and diabetes.
Surprise medical bills can devastate and bankrupt families. If a patient is on a ventilator or in severe pain, the last thing on their mind is discussing the price of treatment. This initiative stops surprise billing, saving Arizona families more than $200 million each year.
“We fight to keep Arizonans healthy every day, especially in a crisis. The healthcare improvements in our initiative – including stronger infection controls – are vitally needed to protect patients. But we need your help.”
