Take Action to Stop Medicaid / AHCCCS Cuts
In order to pay for big tax cuts for billionaires the Trump administration is threatening to make deep cuts to Medicaid funding. Cuts to Medicaid (known as AHCCCS in Arizona) would be a disaster for patient care and the Arizona economy. Representatives in Congress need to hear from you. Take action with the steps below!

1. Email Your Congressperson
Arizona representatives need to hear from constituents like you about how Medicaid is vital for your community. If you, or a loved one, or an organization you work for would be impacted — or you just care about your neighbors ability to get the care they need — send a letter to your Representative to let them know.
With our handy form, you can simply enter your address and it will identify your representative and prepopulate an email message. To make your message more impactful, there is an editable section in which you can share why Medicaid matters to you personally.
2. Call Your Congressperson
Calls to your representative’s office are even more impactful — and don’t just call once! Call every day to continue to keep the pressure on their offices.
Just make sure you say:
- Your name
- That you live in the congressman’s district
- If you have any experience with Medicaid — either as a patient, a healthcare provider, or loved one of someone on Medicaid.
- That you are opposed to any cuts to Medicaid / AHCCCS funding because it will hurt more than 2 millions Arizonans and devastate our healthcare industry.
3. Share Your Story
We need to collect stories from as many Arizonans as possible about the importance of Medicaid, and how cuts would impact them. Identifying powerful stories about Medicaid will help us put the real people who are directly impacted in front of our Representatives, and connect them to our ongoing effort to improve healthcare access in Arizona.Â
