Why We Support
Abortion Access
Healthcare Rising Arizona is an organization of ordinary Arizonans across the state working together to make our healthcare system better. We get stuff done when our politicians cannot (or will not). Now, after the freedom to make our own choices about abortion was taken away by the Supreme Court, Healthcare Rising members are collecting signatures to protect the right to this essential healthcare decision. We believe abortion is a healthcare issue – not a political one – and Arizonans should make this decision for ourselves, not politicians or the government.
Healthcare Rising already has one major win under our belt with Prop 209, which protects Arizona families from losing their cars, homes, and wages due to unfair medical debt. Because of the work of our members, we won Prop 209 overwhelmingly in every county in the state — and we have the people, experience and know-how to win again to restore abortion access in Arizona.
